18-year-old Tibetan snowboarder Yongqing Lhamo has successfully secured a ticket for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, becoming the first Tibetan athlete to qualify for the Winter Olympics.

Born in 2004 in Qamdo, Tibet, Yongqing Lhamo, a former soccer major, becomes a snowboarder in November 2018 after multiple rounds of selection.

Yongqing Lhamo is very excited about qualifying for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. She said that she will devote to preparing for the games and win glory for the nation.
