Recently, Hainan Prefecture hosted the preliminary round of the 3rd Qinghai Provincial TV Speech Contest for Ethnic Minority Farmers and Herdsmen in Standard Chinese.

13 contestants representing ethnic minority communities from five counties took part in the event. They recounted firsthand stories of development in rural and pastoral areas, highlighting ethnic unity and a shared spirit of progress.
