Recently, the 2026 Outdoor Triathlon in Yi’ong Township, Bome County, Nyingchi City, Xizang, kicked off. The event drew 58 teams and 116 athletes from across China, including both professional competitors and outdoor enthusiasts, fully embodying the philosophy of mass participation in sport.

The event featured three disciplines—mountain biking, tandem kayaking, and high-altitude trail running. The 28.5-kilometer course wound through Yi’ong Lake, pristine forests, and sweeping rapeseed fields, allowing competitors to take in the spring scenery of the plateau while competing. Along the course, local residents cheered with infectious enthusiasm, as vibrant folk traditions and the energy of the competition complemented each other perfectly.
