In midsummer, the Galsang flowers bloom in Palyul County, as melodious pastoral songs drift around. During the third annual “Palyul with Great Kindness: Excellence on the Grassland” cultural tourism season event held in Palyul County, located within the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, the Changtai Yak Science Popularization Museum was officially inaugurated. Simultaneously, a series of exciting activities took place, including a yak beauty pageant, a yak milking competition, horse racing events, skyrunning contests, and both qualification trials and finals for Hequ horses.

In recent years, Palyul County has made significant strides in developing the yak industry cluster, focusing on increasing income and alleviating poverty among herdsmen. Leveraging the superior genetic advantages of Changtai yaks, the county has consistently enhanced its investment in scientific research and optimized yak breeding programs, therefore effectively boosting herdsmen’s incomes. Today, “Changtai yak” stands as a compelling emblem of Palyul, and a continually driving momentum for local economic development.
