In recent years, the Tibet Autonomous Region has made efforts to develop vocational education as an important part of improving people’s livelihood. Adhering to the principle of “employment and service-oriented”, the region has strengthened skill education so as to cultivate skilled talents. In order to improve the adaptability of professional settings to market and social needs, Lhasa No. 2 Secondary Vocational and Technical School has set up special majors such as Thangka painting, Tibetan medicine and Tibetan costumes considering local industrial layout and market demand. By doing this, the region hopes that students can master one skill and have a more brilliant life on the road of chasing dreams.
