As for the name of Lugu Lake, in Mosuo language, “Lu” means valley and “Gu” means “in it”. It means lake in the valley. Lugu Lake is located on the border of Yanyuan County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province and Ninglang County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. Lugu Lake in spring is quiet and mysterious like a bright pearl among the mountains.
