China Introduced Additional Temporary Passenger Trains to Manage Travel Demand During the Agricultural New Year in Xigaze, Xizang

It has been reported that to meet the sharp increase in passenger travel demand during the Agricultural New Year in Xigaze, Xizang, from January 19 to January 21, an additional pair of temporary trains (C4385/6) was introduced daily between Lhasa and Xigaze. Furthermore, in accordance with a prior announcement, there will be three additional round-trip train services operating daily between Lhasa and Xigaze from January 16 to January 25. The deployment of these temporary trains reflects the railway authorities’ attention to and support for local traditional festivals, offering convenience to local farmers and herders.
