It will play an important role in improving the efficiency of the local logistics supply chain and in reducing operation costs.

It is reported that the Tibet Autonomous Region Public Logistics Storage and Distribution Center is a core infrastructure project, for the logistics system of the region’s e-commerce to rural areas project. According to the project, JD Logistics will adopt the planning concept of “points, lines, and networks” to form a modern, three-dimensional logistics network that will serve the entire Tibet Autonomous Region in order to achieve e-commerce services across all counties in the region.

With the development of e-commerce, more and more special agricultural products from Tibet Autonomous Region are sold online. The Tibet Autonomous Region Public Logistics Storage and Distribution Center will mainly store and sell mineral water, Nyingchi apples, beer, tsampa, highland barley, chili sauce, walnut oil, and honey. These specialty agricultural products can be purchased through the JD.com Chinese specialty product retail line-Tibet Poverty Alleviation Center.
