Samye monastery, built during the reign of Tubo King Tride Songtsen (798-815 A.D.) in Lhoka Prefecture of southwest China's Tibet, is the first monastery of Tibetan Buddhism in Tibet to have the three treasures: Buddha, dharma, and sangha (monks). Its main hall combines the architecture styles of Tibetan, Han and Indian. Also, four pagodas in white, red, black and green are designed and built at its four corners, representing the four divine dharma guardians. [Photo/China Tibet Online]
