“Dear uncles and aunts, I am writing to express my sincere thanks for your generosity and selfless help...” Dawa Yudron, daughter of Sherab Dorje, a villager in Menzhong Village, Gengzhang Monba ethnic township, Bayi District, Nyingchi, Tibet Autonomous Region, sent a letter of thanks to the New Era Civilization Practice Center of Gengzhang Township. The Letter is full of gratitude among words.

On January 17 this year, Sherab Dorje was diagnosed with gastric cancer in an early stage. The medical expenses required for treatment laid a heavy burden on the family who live a hand-to-mouth life.

After learning about Dorje's illness, the Township's New Era Civilization Practice Center immediately issued a “Proposal Letter” for donating to each village. Donations then poured in, some with 50 yuan, some with 100 yuan and 200 yuan ... Up to now, a total of 303 people in the township donated as much as 46,556 yuan for the family.

In Gengzhang Township, there are four ethnic groups living here: Han, Tibetan, Monba and Lhoba. Although residents of different ethnic groups have different living habits and speak in different languages, they live harmoniously, helping each other in daily life and in times of trouble.
