Princess Bhrikuti Devi and her contribution in Tibet

Bhrikuti (Khridzun), a Nepalese princess of Lichhavi dynasty in the 7th century, was given in marriage to Tibetan king Songtsan Gampo (617-650 A.D.). She contributed to the construction of the Potala Palace, Jhokang Temple and many others in Tibet. She promoted Buddhism in Tibet from Nepal, bringing artistic images of Arya Tara, Avalokiteshwara and Akshothya Buddha to Tibet.
